I'm in a que since 8 am I'm still standing where I was upon my arrival. I have visited COJ region c for about 6 times now. On all those occasions, I received excellent service.
The entire experience I had from when I paid online until I received an sms that my ID card was ready for collection literally took a week. Went three times to change my surname and for the last three days I was told that they are offline. Funny enough their system are working. Problem is that the staff doesn't want to work and they told you you can wait inside to wait for their system. Called their lines every single day to check if they are online and no one answers. I'm so disappointed I've been waiting for home affairs to respond to me after 2 years got getting my sons unabridged birth certificate.

This is a system that doesn't work! The person in front of me was also in the wrong queue. All of the people standing in the queues are not booking online and making their lives difficult unnecessarily.
You need to ask for the Citizenship counter, otherwise if u just say ID they will show u some queue for locals which is super dupa long. No matter which Coastal you go to, you are assured of the best quality equipment and service at a fair price. The vast spread of the stores throughout SA and neighbouring countries, means that you are always able to go Coastal, no matter where the job may be. Please ensure that you have your face mask on at all times as you will not be allowed to enter the premises without this protection.

Carry original documents for whatever you are applying for including address proof such as rental agreement, ID etc. The queue is long outside & I was there and inside the building for 5 hours in total. Home affairs edenvale this is the 3rd time I am experiencing this with the branch. I had made a branch booking for today but I guess that does not work. Off line since yesterday, government service or systems are poor. They can't even estimate the duration of network repairs.
Only later my brother's application they needed our mother copy of ID and Judy was quick to help and Mpho. Judy always keep me on the loop on the progress. She is passionate and very helpful and I believe she is one of the best employees that Nedbank home affairs in Rivonia ever had. Judy and team thank you for a great service and keep it up. I applied my smart ID on home affairs online system, booked my appointment . I spent about 10min, 5 min of service the rest was for waiting.

They only do ID and Passports by appointment but they are extremely fast. You start by the photo-booth, then the counters and finally by the cashier to pay your application fee. Regarding overall cleanliness the building is alright. Rather find out directly from the guys inside exactly what it is you need. Majority of the times that I have been here the system has been down. The average restoration time is one to two hours long.

Honestly, you need not wake up super early to queue here because the queue is one of the shortest you can find at municipal... The online application process was a pretty terrible experience, but there was nothing wrong at the branch.everyone was friendly and the whole thing took me less than an hour . The branch was so efficient that my parking ticket didn't even have time to fall into the "1 hr" pay slot and this after we walked around the mall. After 45 minutes in the wrong queue I was told by the lady at collections who sent me packing that I am supposed to ask the person in front of me if I am in the right queue.
It took them a month just to get my application to head office. Those of you who gave them more that one star must have been smoking something. They are lazy, arrogant, and don't give a damn about clients. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
